This collaboration has only developed further over the years, as Boels has grown internationally, says Van Son. “Because we only rent out young machines from top brands, we regularly sell used tools and machines to refresh our rental assortment. Because Boels’ rental fleet is “gigantic” according to Van Son, the organization applies a multichannel sales strategy. Think of aerial work platforms, earthmoving machines, telehandlers, but also compressors, drills, saws, or vacuum cleaners. For us, it is very important that these machines find a new place. Then they publish our machines online and attract buyers to the auction through various marketing channels. Thanks to the enormous international customer database, Troostwijk knows exactly how to find the right customer for the right lot.”

 

No thousands of invoices

Boels auctions thousands of lots annually via Troostwijk Auctions. In the Netherlands, but also for example in Germany and Poland. “At the moment when we auction to more than a hundred customers, Troostwijk has the capacity to support us in areas such as invoicing and all necessary documentation. This means we don’t have to send thousands of invoices, but only one invoice per auction. That invoice goes directly to Troostwijk. Troostwijk Auctions’ office takes care of the rest. It really works great for us!”
