One of the topics many of you were dissatisfied with, and which we imposed without consultation, was the €1 starting price. While we believe in the power of low starting prices to boost bidding dynamics, we’ve also seen that this approach doesn’t align with the preferences of many of our customers and doesn’t add value for everyone.

We want to be your partner again, and that means listening to your feedback so we can move forward together. That’s why we’re returning to the trusted tiered model for starting prices that you’ve known from the past: a clear structure based on the expected lot value.

We continue to believe in the principles of successful auctions, where an attractive starting price plays an important role. And part of that is listening to our sellers and partners.

With this change, the starting price will once again be automatically generated between 10% and 20% of your estimate.
