At Troostwijk Auctions, we continuously improve our platform to help buyers discover the right lots more easily and bid at the right moment. Below you will find the latest updates and what they mean for you as a seller.
Smarter sorting and ranking of lots
We have improved how lots are displayed on category and auction pages. Lots are now ranked using a smarter combination of closing time and value. In the final four hours before an auction closes, the focus shifts to closing time, helping buyers see which lots are ending soon.
What does this mean for you as a seller?
Smarter ranking helps bring relevant lots to buyers’ attention at the right moment. As an auction approaches its closing time, lots that are ending soon receive greater visibility, which can help encourage more bidding activity.
More opportunities for your lots to be discovered
We have further expanded our lot recommendations. When buyers browse an auction and apply filters, they can now also discover relevant lots from other auctions that match what they are looking for. Recommendations on lot detail pages are also now visible to visitors who are not yet logged in.
What does this mean for you as a seller?
Your lots have more opportunities to reach relevant buyers, even when they originally arrived through another auction or have not yet logged in. This increases the visibility of your lots and helps interested buyers discover more of the right items.
Easier browsing with “Show more”
Traditional pagination has been replaced with a “Show more” button. Instead of moving to a new page, buyers can load additional lots directly and continue browsing the available selection.
What does this mean for you as a seller?
By making it easier for buyers to continue browsing, we encourage them to explore more of the available lots. This increases the opportunity for your lots to be discovered and attract additional interest.
Instant notifications at key bidding moments
Buyers now receive an immediate on-screen notification when they have been outbid, with a direct prompt to return to the lot and place a new bid. They also receive a clear notification when they have won a lot, with a direct link to continue to payment.
What does this mean for you as a seller?
Making outbid notifications more visible helps buyers react quickly and easily place another bid. This can encourage more bidding activity and competition on your lots, while clearer win notifications help buyers move smoothly towards completing their purchase.
