Platform updates – what’s new for you as a seller

At Troostwijk Auctions we continuously work on improvements that make our platform smarter, easier to use, and more successful for both sellers and buyers. Below you will find the most relevant updates from the past month, and what they mean for you.

Improved lot pages & image viewing

We refreshed the Lot Details Page with a cleaner, more structured layout. Buyers can now scan key information faster and view images in a full-screen zoomable viewer for better inspection.

What does this mean for you as a seller? 
Clearer information and better images help buyers understand your lots more quickly and with more confidence, increasing the likelihood of more bids and stronger bidding activity.

Smarter search & filters

We introduced new filters that help buyers find the right lots more easily: 

  • A reserve price filter (no reserve, reserve met, reserve not met) 
  • A radius filter on Search and Category pages (25–250 km)

What does this mean for you as a seller? 
Your lots become more discoverable to the right buyers, those who prefer certain distance ranges or only bid on reserve-free lots, driving more relevant traffic and visibility.

Smoother buyer payment process

We added several improvements to make payments clearer and faster for buyers, including: 

  • Instant payment confirmation emails 
  • Clearer instructions for each payment method 
  • An improved iDEAL error message to prevent incorrect transfers 
  • Automatic unblocking of buyers as soon as their balance is paid

What does this mean for you as a seller? 
Fewer payment mistakes, fewer delays, and faster settlement of successful sales.

Clearer communication & fewer buyer questions

Buyers now receive clearer VAT credit emails, and we added a FAQ to the My Purchases page to help them resolve common payment questions themselves. Closed lots can also no longer be added to favorites, keeping the browsing experience cleaner.

A smoother buyer journey means fewer questions reaching support, and a more focused, active audience engaging with your auctions.
