Platform updates – what’s new for you as a seller

At Troostwijk Auctions we continuously improve our platform to make it smarter, easier to use, and more successful for both sellers and buyers. Below you will find the latest updates and what they mean for you.

New payment flow (currently in rollout)

We have introduced a redesigned checkout, currently available to 20% of buyers. This replaces the previous multi-step process with one clear and streamlined overview. Payment is now fully integrated into checkout, with clear guidance and smart recommendations for payment methods.

A simpler checkout lowers the barrier to complete payment. This results in fewer abandoned payments and a smoother transaction process, contributing to higher conversion and more reliable payments.

Richer marketing with video content

We have enabled the use of video assets in marketing feeds, allowing for more dynamic and engaging campaigns.

Your lots can be promoted with richer content that attracts more attention. Video helps highlight key features and can drive more traffic and stronger bidding activity.

“Favourites” replaces “Following”

The “Following” feature has been renamed to “Favourites” across the platform, including the Storefront, making it more intuitive and aligned with common marketplace terminology.

Buyers are more likely to save lots they are interested in, making it easier for them to return and place bids. This can increase repeat visits and improve bidding activity.

Clearer payment notifications for buyers

We have introduced a notification module in the storefront that clearly shows when a payment is still outstanding.

By making outstanding payments more visible, buyers are less likely to miss them. This helps reduce unpaid lots (NPNS) and improves the reliability of completed transactions.
